Once again, I find myself apologizing for not updating this blog. This time it's been four months. Shameful, I know. There's lots of reasons for this. I put a lot of emphasis on putting up pictures and that takes a lot of time/effort. There are probably easier ways to do it than the way I do, but I haven't found something I like. The four months I've missed are a little intimidating, too.

Quinn hit his second year with style throwing our first ever backyard bash. His friends all had a great time playing in the sandbox, drinking juice boxes and riding around in plastic vehicles. Lyla got a chance to put her new bike to the test during a neighborhood trike-a-thon to raise money for Hope & Heroes. Quinn mostly was carried along, though he did get some time on his trike. So, Quinn finally got shaped up enough to get to crawling a few weeks ago. He has low muscle tone, which has led to developmental delays in a few areas, like mobility. Erin has been dealing with juggling his physical therapy and occupational therapy for the last six months or so. I finally got our April photos up, so you can check out the gallery here. We had a lot of visitors in April and our traditional Passover Seder brought a full house and sent away full bellies. As of April, Quinn was 28 3/4" in height and when weighed in May for a blood test he was around 21 lbs.Aside from that, the pictures pretty much tell what happened over the month.

As of our last trip to the doctor on 1/20, Quinn weighed 17lbs 11oz and measured 27 1/2". Lyla was 36.9lbs and 38 3/4".Quinn has been starting to roll from his back to his belly a bit more than he was before. He rolls just fine from his belly to his back. Like every month, our August has been busy. We had a double header doctor's appointment for Lyla's 2 year and Quinn's 2 month appointments. Lyla measured in at 37" (97th percentile) and 32.6 lbs (90th percentile). At Lyla's recent doctor's appointment, the doctor asked how many words Lyla can say. We said about "a ton... about a half a million". The doctor then asked if she said more than 10 words. Well, Lyla already did her Halloween costume over the weekend, so for the actual holiday you just get to see her in this cute little "Happy Halloween" shirt.Yesterday, Lyla had her 15 month doctor's appointment and measured 33 1/2" (97th percentile), weighed 25lbs. 6.2 oz (75th percentile) and had a head circumference of 48cm (95th percentile).
